At the end of June, Olga Bull concluded her time with The Gap Project after many years of dedicated service. We are grateful for everything she has contributed to our community and are pleased to share her personal farewell message below.
As many of you know, I have left The Gap Project at the end of June.
After many wonderful years, this was not an easy decision. The Gap has been far more than just a workplace to me—it has been a family, a community, and a place where I have witnessed kindness, resilience, hope and transformation every single day.
I have had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team of staff, trustees and volunteers whose dedication to serving others has always inspired me. Together, we have celebrated successes, faced challenges, shared laughter, shed tears, and supported one another through so many seasons of life.
To every person who has walked through our doors—whether you came to a drop-in, a wellbeing group, WEB, Friday Club, Under 5s, the café, or simply stopped by for a chat—thank you. You have each left a mark on my heart. Watching lives change, friendships grow, confidence return, and hope be restored has been one of the greatest blessings of my career.
I want to say a special thank you to all of our amazing volunteers. Quite simply, The Gap would not be what it is without you. Your generosity, compassion and willingness to give your time have made an immeasurable difference to so many people in our community.
Although I am moving on to a new chapter, I will always carry The Gap with me. The friendships I have made, the memories we have created, and the lessons I have learned will stay with me forever.
Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, encouraging me, and allowing me to be part of your lives. It has truly been an honour to serve this community.
May God continue to bless this wonderful organisation, everyone who serves here, and everyone who walks through its doors.
Thank you for everything.
With love, gratitude, and every blessing
Olga Bull
